Exporting to Saudi Arabia/Change in control status of single-axle tractors and sunglasses

Manufacturers and Exporters of products to the KSA are hereby informed about SASO’s recent notifications to update the regulatory status of certain KSA Customs Tariff Codes from non-regulated products to regulated products covered by SASO Technical Regulations. 

The changes are listed below:

●Product: Single-axis Tractors

KSA Customs Tariff Code: 870110000000

Applicable SASO Technical Regulation: Machinery Safety - Part 2: Mobile Machinery and Heavy-duty Equipment 

●Product: Sunglasses

KSA Customs Tariff Code:  900410000000

Applicable SASO Technical Regulation: Personal Protective Equipment

If your product falls under an affected Saudi customs code, it must be registered with Saber and verified by a SASO-recognized conformity assessment body (e.g., ASTC) for compliance with SASO technical regulations in order to issue the Product Conformity Certificates (PCoC) and Batch Certificates (SCoC) required for Saudi customs clearance.
