Implementation Tomorrow: Six Categories of Products Exported to Saudi Arabia added  MOCI control

According to the latest notification from the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), starting from June 27, 2024, products such as car batteries, pottery, and porcelain (with specific customs codes) will require a Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) declaration when applying for product certificates in the Saber system. This declaration must be approved by the Ministry of Industry and Industry. 

If the applicant cannot provide the approved declaration, the certification body will not be able to issue the product certificate.

The products and customs codes (HS) covered by this notification are as follows:

How to apply for MOCI?

1. The importer fills out the MOCI application form;

2. Send the MOCI application form to sfc@mim.gov.sa and wait for the approval reply from the Ministry of Industry and Industry (MOCI).
